Dog Swimming in Delhi NCR: Where to Go and How to Start

28 September 2026 · 5 min read

Dedicated dog pools are rare in India — outside Bengaluru, Delhi NCR is one of the few regions with a real cluster of them. In a place where summer makes normal exercise impossible for weeks at a time, that matters: swimming burns energy without pounding joints or paws on hot ground. This guide covers where the pools are, what a first session looks like and when swimming is genuinely a medical tool, plus our list of dog swimming spots across Delhi NCR.

Where the pools are

Most sit on the Gurugram side, with a couple inside Delhi and one in Noida:

  • Bow Bows Den Dog Pool & Cafe, Dwarka — a dedicated dog pool inside Delhi.
  • Scooby Island, Sector 64, Gurugram.
  • Doggos Heaven, Sector 83, and Rocks & Pebbles, Sector 75 — both dog parks with water.
  • Tail Club, Sector 59, and Pawsome Kingdom.
  • Pet resorts with pools — Pooch Pet Resort (Sector 62), Barking Lot Pet Resort (Sector 58), Becky’s Bow Wow House and Pet Lovers Hut Pet Resort (Sector 63A), and WagINN at Palam Farms.
  • Petstreet Resort, Sector 135, Noida.
  • Heal Your Paws, Sainik Farm — worth knowing about for rehabilitation rather than play.

Sessions are almost always booked in advance and slot-based, so call before you drive.

Not every dog swims, and that’s fine

The idea that all dogs can swim naturally is wrong and occasionally dangerous. Deep-chested, short-legged and flat-faced breeds often struggle — a Bulldog or Pug can tire fast and cannot lift its head clear easily. Heavy-coated dogs get waterlogged.

A good session starts in the shallows, with a float vest, and no one forcing anything. If your dog hates it after a fair try, that is an answer — find another way to burn the energy.

Swimming as rehabilitation

Water takes the weight off joints, which makes swimming genuinely useful for dogs recovering from surgery, carrying extra weight, or living with hip or elbow problems — common enough in the large breeds popular across the NCR. This is hydrotherapy rather than play, and it should follow your vet’s advice on frequency and duration, not a general recommendation from a guide like this one. Ask your vet first, then ask the facility what experience they have with recovering dogs.

Safety basics

  • A float vest for the first few sessions, whatever the breed.
  • Never leave a dog unsupervised near water, even in a shallow pool.
  • Rinse afterwards — pool chemistry irritates skin, and NCR dust sticks to a wet coat.
  • Dry the ears properly; damp ears are how infections start.
  • Short first sessions. Swimming is far more tiring than it looks.
  • Don’t swim straight after a big meal.

Frequently asked questions

Where can my dog swim in Delhi NCR?

Bow Bows Den Dog Pool & Cafe in Dwarka is a dedicated dog pool inside Delhi, and Scooby Island in Sector 64, Doggos Heaven in Sector 83 and Rocks & Pebbles in Sector 75 are on the Gurugram side. Several pet resorts also have pools, and Petstreet Resort in Sector 135 covers Noida. Sessions are usually booked in advance.

Is swimming good for dogs with joint problems?

It can be. Water supports the body weight, so swimming is often used in rehabilitation after surgery, for overweight dogs and for dogs with hip or elbow problems. Treat it as hydrotherapy and follow your vet's guidance on how often and how long, rather than general advice.

Can all dogs swim?

No. Deep-chested, short-legged and flat-faced breeds frequently struggle, and heavy-coated dogs get waterlogged. Start in shallow water with a float vest and never force a dog that is clearly distressed.

How do I keep my dog safe around a pool?

Use a float vest early on, supervise constantly, keep first sessions short, rinse the coat afterwards, dry the ears thoroughly to avoid infection, and avoid swimming straight after a meal.
