Best Dog Parks in Delhi NCR: Where to Let Them Run

28 September 2026 · 6 min read

Delhi has no shortage of parks, but very few where a dog can legally come off the leash and run. What the NCR does have — and this is the part most guides miss — is a growing set of purpose-built, fenced dog parks, most of them on the Gurugram side, alongside a handful of genuine dog-only spaces inside Delhi itself. This guide covers where they are, what separates a real dog park from a public garden that tolerates dogs, and how to time a visit around the region’s weather. Start from our verified list of dog parks across Delhi NCR.

Fenced dog parks vs. public gardens

The distinction matters more here than almost anywhere. A public garden may allow dogs on a leash, at fixed hours, with no fencing and no water — fine for a walk, useless for letting a high-energy dog actually run. A purpose-built dog park is fenced, leash-free inside, and designed for dogs to be dogs.

We list the second kind. Every entry in the Delhi NCR park directory is there because it is a dog park or a dog-first space — the ordinary neighbourhood gardens were deliberately left out.

The Gurugram cluster

Gurugram has the densest concentration of purpose-built dog parks in the region, largely because land on the city’s southern edge made them possible:

  • Rocks & Pebbles, Sector 75 — one of the better-known dedicated dog parks in the NCR.
  • Doggos Heaven, Sector 83.
  • Tail Club, Sector 59.
  • Pawsome Kingdom.
  • Elsa’s Dog Park & Cakery — a dog park with a café attached, for the humans.

These are typically ticketed or membership-based rather than free. Call ahead: several limit numbers per slot, which is a feature rather than a nuisance if your dog is nervous around crowds.

Inside Delhi

Delhi proper has fewer, but they exist and several are free:

  • Siri Fort Dog Park — one of the few leash-free spaces in south Delhi.
  • Golf Links Dog Park, in central Delhi.
  • Japanese Dog Park and Pups’n’Paws, both in Rohini.
  • Dwarka Sector 22 Dog Park, in the south-west.
  • ORN Pet Dog Park, Rajinder Nagar.
  • PawShala in Bijwasan and Woolfee’s Territory in Bindapur.

Timing your visit around NCR weather

More than in most Indian cities, when you go matters as much as where:

  • Summer — stick to early morning or after dark. Test the ground with the back of your hand: if it is too hot for you to hold it there for five seconds, it will burn paw pads. Carry more water than you think you need.
  • Winter smog — on the worst air-quality days, cut hard exercise short, especially for flat-faced breeds, puppies and senior dogs. A shorter walk is not a failure on those days.
  • Monsoon — standing water and long grass mean ticks. Check ears, paws and armpits after every visit.

Dog park etiquette

  • Vaccinations and tick prevention up to date before any shared space.
  • Carry your own water and bowl — don’t rely on a shared one.
  • Pick up, every time. Off-leash spaces get shut down over exactly this.
  • Recall first. If your dog won’t come back reliably, use a long line until they do.
  • Watch the play, not your phone — step in early when it tips from play to pressure.

Frequently asked questions

Are there off-leash dog parks in Delhi NCR?

Yes. Gurugram has the largest cluster of fenced, purpose-built dog parks — among them Rocks & Pebbles in Sector 75, Doggos Heaven in Sector 83 and Tail Club in Sector 59. Inside Delhi, Siri Fort Dog Park, Golf Links Dog Park, the Japanese Dog Park in Rohini and the Dwarka Sector 22 dog park are among the few genuinely leash-free spaces.

Are dog parks in Delhi NCR free?

It varies. Several inside Delhi are free public spaces, while most of the purpose-built parks in Gurugram charge an entry fee or run on membership. Call ahead — some also cap numbers per slot.

When is the best time to take a dog out in Delhi?

Early morning or after sunset for most of the year. In summer, check the ground temperature with your hand before walking on it. During the winter smog season, keep hard exercise short for flat-faced breeds, puppies and senior dogs.

Can I take my dog to ordinary parks in Delhi?

Many public gardens allow dogs on a leash, sometimes only at set hours, and fencing and water are rarely provided. They are fine for a walk but not for off-leash running, which is why the HiSpike directory lists dog parks and dog-first spaces rather than general parks.
